That’s all for now. Thanks.

Internet marketing is very competitive. There are a thousand and one products available on the Internet. What makes your product better than the other guy? Make that a thousand other guys online because they are probably selling the same thing JUST LIKE YOU!

Furthermore, it is very difficult to pry money out of the hands of people online. They can’t see you or hear your voice (even if you use photos and YouTube videos, it is still relatively impersonal compared with meeting a merchant face to face). Millions of people are being scammed on the Internet everyday – in spite of guarantees.

Why am I saying all this?

Well… if you want to be successful in Internet marketing, you must take a closer look at those who have already made it and emulate their traits and habits!

A successful Internet marketer is more than just a brand. They are a name that people trust. When people trust you, you become the ‘go to’ person that everybody will go to when there is a problem to be solved.

This is the speed of trust. They trust you and they will spend less time trying to be convinced by what you have to say (or what you are trying to sell to them).

We must be realistic here. Internet marketing isn’t all about hiding behind your computer. You are not dealing with robots. On the other hand, you need go out there and build relationships with others and work together with others. A synergistic relationship is when two parties with complementary skills work together with each other to achieve tremendous results.

And often, when strong friendships are formed, people like one another and they feel comfortable working with one another in an environment where trust is built. They don’t spend too much time second guessing each other’s motives and let the one better at a certain task do their job well.

You see, when people don’t trust one another, the energy is low and things move very slowly as they try to break down the walls of distrust. They might spend time arguing with each other on who deserves the larger share and so on. This must be avoided at all cost! And of course, it’s not enough to have the skills to do the job. This alone doesn’t guarantee the long term viability of partnerships. The common denominator is once again – trust.

When two or more people work together in an environment where they can share ideas, grow together and make money together, synergy is formed (not just because of doing the tactical stuff together). Imagine having a friend who is ready to make money for you when you are doing your big product launch.

At the end of the day, you must never be afraid to go all out to build strong relationships in business. It will make or break your long term strategy. After all, human beings are sensitive creatures. The moment you lose the trust, it will take 10 times the effort to get back into people’s good graces.

What is synergy? Have you heard the famous saying that the sum of the whole is more than the parts combined together? That is what synergy is all about – one plus one plus one equals more than three!

In this world, God (or evolution depending on your beliefs) created human beings as very diverse beings. They are creatures that are multi-skilled but at the same time possessing aptitudes in specific tasks.

We are not like cavemen – hunting, cooking, cleaning and building everything with our bare hands. In the 21st century, people are all learning to specialize – and that is where we build on each other’s skills to develop synergy and that is especially true on the Internet.

Understand that no man is an island. After all, some of us have the aptitude of doing things better than others while being totally bad at another. In other words, don’t ask a fish to climb trees and get a monkey to swim. Let each of them do what they do best.

For example, you could be a really good writer but very bad when it comes to graphic design. Instead of 2 people spending tons of money outsourcing, you can form an alliance or a partnership. The best way is to share resources and help each other out on the fly.

The world is designed in such a way that we need one another to survive. That is why we have affiliate marketing and joint ventures. You can save lots of time by leveraging on the list of others and selling their products through their affiliate program saving you the time and hassle of creating all the products yourself.

There are also many other ways to form profitable partnerships. If one is good at marketing while the other is good at product creation and copywriting, they can do a joint venture together and share the profits in the end. By learning to pool your resources together, you will be able to work together with one mindset and one vision. That way, every party will have vested interest in a common goal and your team will be unstoppable.

Another way to develop synergy is to trade favors. In any affiliate marketing campaign, no single person can do a launch and expect to do more sales than all the other affiliates combined (unless the affiliates are very weak at marketing). In this world, no one person, no matter how strong is better than all of us combined. It is true in every aspect of the world – economics, farming, political… whatever it may be, learn to work together as a team.

When it comes to brainstorming sessions, don’t hog ideas all by yourself. Learn to share with others.

These are a few tips that you can use to develop unstoppable synergy.

Wait till the end:

Do you know that hotels usually have left over rooms at the last minute? The moment those rooms go on sale, make sure you are the first one to get a booking there and you will find one of the best rates.

Your travel agent is taking a very huge commission:

There are many ways to find out if the travel deal is paying a lot of money to the middle man. All you have to do is compare your given rates to the ones presented on the Internet. If you see a huge difference then you should fire your agent!

The Internet isn’t always the cheapest place to buy travel:

On the other side of the coin, some travel agents might have access to special deals that are not published on the Internet. Sometimes, the affiliate commissions on the Internet could be very big as well. As a matter of fact, you can find some rather good deals in your local newspaper as well. You can even look for someone who owns a timeshare and get them to book a room for you for a fee.

Two roundtrip airline tickets are sometimes cheaper than one:

Airlines use sophisticated computer algorithms to price their tickets. It tries to predict demand for tickets and sets the price based on the data. However, it doesn’t always work properly. A one-way ticket can cost more than a round-trip ticket because the system thinks you’re a big-spending business traveler, and charges more. The solution may seem weird – buy two sets of advance-purchase roundtrip tickets, but to use only half of each — a process called “back-to-back” ticketing. The trick works best with a short trip where you aren’t staying over a Saturday night (the system thinks you’re a big-spending business traveler if you don’t stay over a Saturday night, too). Airlines frown on passengers who use this clever strategy, but they are actually quite legal.

Don’t spend money on car rental insurance:

Don’t worry too much about car insurance. You can rent with a credit card –  Visa, for example, will cover you for most car rentals and you have to read the fine print carefully.

Get better rates on your hotel rooms:
Did you know that you can save money and still get a better room; all you need to do is to buy directly from the hotel’s Web site. It typically treats its direct-booking customers better than outsiders. Hotels will deny they do this when they’re on the record. But off the record, you can still get away with it.

Every successful Internet marketer knows that you have to reach to as many people as possible on the Internet. Your mailing list can only do so much for you and these people exist within your circle of influence. Don’t you wish you can reach outside your circle of influence?

If you want to be 100% effective at Internet marketing, you must learn the art of viral marketing – an essential trait of a successful Internet marketer. Many gurus use it solely to generate hundreds of subscribers each day to their list.

Viral marketing is basically using the influence of others to generate subscribers for you. You don’t want to do everything alone. You need to leverage on your subscribers, Google and word of mouth to get the word out about your latest product. Failure to do so will result in you leaving too much money on the table.

So how do you start a viral marketing campaign?

You need to work with a few principles: Firstly, you must provide value for the reader. If the reader feels that by sharing the content, it will benefit the recipient and the reader himself will feel better off by sharing it with others, then you will achieve the viral effect similar to those chain or forwarded jokes or E-mails that people pass around from time to time. Remember that the method of sharing must be simple – you must use a platform that is very easy to share it with others.

When you create content for your subscribers, you must always remember the golden rule that content is KING. Good contents are naturally passed around because it touches the human heart. Don’t try and manipulate the search engine too much or work too hard at selling yourself. Please PEOPLE first, not Google.

Once your entire marketing system is in place, the final piece of the puzzle is to let your business become as viral as possible. And that is why one of the traits of highly effective Internet marketers is that they know how to create a viral campaign and let their list grow on autopilot.

Your campaign could consist of all sorts of things – from strategic placement of solo ads, re-brandable E-books, having an army of affiliates or build your reputation to such an extent that people will willingly pass the word around about your products.

Once you have these attributes in place, your campaign will grow so contagious that many subscribers will flood their way into your landing pages. There are people who are getting at least 100-200 new subscribers a day totally done through viral marketing.

Once you have started a powerful viral campaign, you can spend time tweaking it and optimizing the campaign. By then, you will be unstoppable and you will join the ranks of successful Internet marketers in no time.

Hotel accommodation is one of the most money draining expenses when it comes to traveling. So how does one overcome such ruthless schemes?

Here are some tips and tricks that will help you save money on traveling.

Do you know that you can also save money on your hotel room through negotiation? Sometimes, it is very important to open your mouth and speak up. For example, when you call the hotel, you are arranging with the clerk or the administrator and not the manager or the boss. These guys only follow what the book says and are not flexible when offering rates.

Talk to them and negotiate with them what are the best rates for the season and see if there are any last minute cancellations.

If you are part of a business trip, you can organize a conference or meeting at a hotel and they will usually offer a much cheaper rate for you and your business partners. Once again, all you need to do is open your mouth and ask.

They will be more than happy for you to bring big business to their doorstep.

You can also opt to stay at the suburbs. In most places, you will pay a lot more for staying in the urban areas. Once you figure out the bus route or other forms of transportation, you will save on accommodation and still enjoy a day in the city. You need to know the train or bus routes so just ask one of the locals.

You can also stay at motels or guest houses. Guest houses are actually smaller hotels, with fewer hotel type services, are called guest houses. If you don’t need a bar or a direct phone, you can save tons of money.

You can even try traveling off-season. Of course, it depends on the location which you visit. You can even arrange for Self-Catering. Cottages and small apartments are suitable because you cook and clean for yourself. These places are rented by the week and are much cheaper than other kinds of accommodations. Say for example, you and your friends could rent a place, which is big enough for five or six people, for a whole week, for not much more than the cost of a couple of nights for two in a good hotel.

If you are feeling adventurous, try traveling in an RV or a caravan. You will eliminate your hotel costs all together.

Remember to check out everything on the Internet. Never book a hotel before checking out the many online, accommodation search engines first. You can save lots of money doing your research in advance.

A joint venture is when two or more Internet marketers work together to pool their resources, their mailing list, their skills and their ideas together to create powerful synergy (and of course to make lots and lots of money at the same time).

Every successful Internet marketer at one time or another will definitely do joint ventures with others. It is prevalent in seminars such as the World Internet Summit (WIS) where it is a huge pool of successful Internet marketers working together for the greater good.

If you want to be a successful Internet marketer, learn the trait of creating good joint venture partnerships today!

So, what does it take to start a good joint venture partnership?

One of the main keys is the ability to work well with others. The other is to think win-win. People always ask others for joint ventures (or JV for short) because they think what’s in it for them. They offer try and offer huge commissions (like 60% to 90%) to bribe other marketers to build their own list without remembering what’s in it for the other party.

As a result, JV partners are hard to come by because people fail to provide overwhelming value for them in the first place. Don’t make the mistake of asking the fireplace to offer you fire FIRST before you offer the fireplace some wood later – it doesn’t work this way.

When you examine people who are successful in their Internet marketing career, you will find that even when they first started out, when they have a mailing list of less than 100 people, they still managed to build their list by helping out other people by helping them to reach THEIR goals.

You see, in this world, most people either looks at friendship or reality (feasibility). Friends ‘help out’ each other once in a while but if you don’t have the basis of a friendship, no one will JV with you unless you bring something of tremendous value to the table.

As you can see, making friends on the Internet is one of the ways to get along with other people and once you are friends with others, they will generally warm up to you with your joint venture offers.

So are you willing to help others first? The world is designed in such a way that we need one another to survive. That is why we have affiliate marketing and joint ventures. You can save lots of time by leveraging on the list of others and selling their products through their affiliate program saving you the time and hassle of creating all the products yourself.

Lastly, don’t make the mistake of chasing joint venture partners like a rabid bull dog. You don’t want to ruin your credibility that way if people perceive you like an ‘online’ door to door salesman. Be tactful and observant in your conversation and you will be on your way to online riches in no time.

Do you know that a house exchange program is one of the most interesting ways to travel at low cost while having a very unique holiday experience?

Here are a few reasons why:

There are free vacations available worldwide.

Swap homes for a free vacation home-away-from-home. There are many people offering home swaps everyday through agencies. You get to live in someone else’s home for free!

You get to enjoy living like a local, not a tourist.

Travel for less and more frequently. Stay longer if you have the time. It is a great trip for anything from weekend breaks to international vacations, and the best thing of all, it is even more comfortable than in a hotel and highly suitable for families

You will also gain a first hand feel when you learn about their local culture.

With the benefit of local knowledge from your exchange partners. Sharing knowledge with one another is such a fun thing to do. It’s such a great way to travel!

Have you watched ‘The Holiday’ by Cameron Diaz and Kate Winslet?

This is an excellent movie about two women who have ran into problems during their lives decide to take a vacation by staying in each other’s houses far apart from each other.

It is a done by a mutual agreement. Both decide to ‘loan’ their houses to each other and put themselves in each other’s shoes as they live out their day-to-day lives with the people around them.

You can do the same thing to if you find the right people (who are hopefully trustworthy) and switch houses with them. Remember to do a background check on your exchange partner.

Alternatively, you can do house sitting for other people. If you choose your houses wisely, you might be chilling out at a Caribbean villa having a fun-filled adventure at a local farmhouse.

Most important of all, you must be very specific when it comes to signing agreements. You must be clear who pays the bills.

You have to be very clear with all the details. You don’t want to get into any trouble with any of the locals (especially the authorities – you will never know if there are any drugs in the house!)

Do you know that it is very important to build your credibility online? One of the ways to be truly successful in Internet marketing is to brand yourself in such an outstanding way that people will remember you for life.

Take for example…

What do people remember Mark Joyner as? He is known as the ‘Godfather’ of Internet marketing. At the World Internet Summit, his big name was flashed across the screen telling the audiences of his amazing feats.

How about Jay Abraham? Branded as the ‘Godfather’ of direct marketing. It is no wonder people are paying him $50,000 an hour for his consultation.

What about you? What are the things that make you unique? If you can brand yourself as an expert in a sub-niche, you will no doubt be able to achieve a fraction of the level of fame of these marketing gurus.

No doubt, it is very difficult to be the best at one thing. For example, in the offline world, it is very hard to release a platinum record or become the next soccer champion. It is a very competitive world out there and it is hard to be the best at those things.

On the other hand, one of the fastest ways to become famous online is to find a combination of two expertise and become better than most of the people in these two niches.

You could be an expert at writing and marketing. This is a powerful winning combination as an example.

When you want to build your credibility online, you must learn to make friends with others. I know of some online marketers who are willing to go to great lengths to do a lot of favors for established marketers.  They create their own products and are willing to give 100% of their commission in order to build their mailing lists!

Basically, you need to come out with a cutting edge concept, one or two skills that you can be the best in, and also a way to let others know who you are.

Branding is also closely tied in with your credibility. For example, if you are planning to do a product launch, make sure you work very hard at tweaking your sites, your affiliate tracking system and make sure your servers are all up and running. You don’t want to wind up launching your very first product or products, only to screw things up. If you piss off your affiliates, it is very likely that you will not be able to do a joint venture in the future ever again. Make sure you do the job right the first time and you will have more people knocking on your door next time.

There are many places beneath our noses when we talk about finding a good place to travel to. Do you know that some of the best places could be right around the corner? Do you know it could exist in your own country without you knowing about it?

Take for example; people love to go to Australia to travel. However, some AUSTRALIANS may not think Australia is a good place to travel namely because it is their home land. The grass usually seems greener on the other side. Other countries usually is a better place to travel but not your own country.

Many a times, we don’t realize that traveling to a local vacation spot saves a lot of money on air travel and the currency exchange rate. We rather go further only to find that certain places overseas are no different from our backyard.

Before setting off on a journey, you must do your due diligence. The best and cheapest way to check out the best travel spots is online!

Travelocity.com, Expedia.com and Orbitz.com are just some examples on how you can locate good air travel rates. http://www.travelpod.com/ is a very good website that gives you information on many travel spots. They claim that they are the web’s original travel blog.

These are the biggest travel booking sites very up to date.

Another good place where you can check out information before going there is the discovery channel. You can get a preview on all the best vacation spots without leaving your chair. Once you are sure where you want to go, and then place your booking.

How about animal planet, if you love exotic animals, you can switch on your TV and learn all about the best vacation spots and tourist attraction.

At the end of the day, you save lots of money learning about all these stuff without making costly mistakes such as going to all the wrong places only to find nothing is there.

You will also get a lot of understanding of vacation spots from other travelers because word of mouth is very powerful indeed.
